HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT HORSE RUG

Choosing the right horse rug depends on your horse's needs, the season and how the rug will be used. In New Zealand, horse rugs and horse covers provide protection for different weather conditions and everyday equestrian activities. For outdoor use, explore our paddock rugs, including lightweight summer rugs, insulated winter rugs and versatile mid season rugs. We also offer miniature rugs for miniature horses and small ponies.

When comparing horse rugs, covers or blankets, consider fabric durability, waterproofing, breathability, fill weight and fit. Canvas and synthetic materials offer different features, so always check individual product specifications. For warmer months, browse our fly protection range for fly rugs, mesh sheets and fly masks. For stable use, consider stable and under rugs, while exercise sheets provide coverage during riding or warm up.
