CHOOSING THE RIGHT SUMMER HORSE RUG

Choosing the right summer horse rug depends on the weather, your horse's needs and their paddock conditions. Our range of summer horse rugs includes lightweight rugs, mesh fly rugs, summer combos and cotton blend styles, with options for breathable coverage, sun protection and insect protection.

For warm, dry days, lightweight summer rugs offer coverage without heavy insulation. Mesh rugs allow air to circulate, while combo styles provide additional neck coverage. If flies are a problem, explore our Fly Protection collection for fly rugs and fly masks. For wet weather, consider waterproof summer horse rugs designed for changing conditions. Always check individual product details, as waterproofing, UV protection and breathability vary between styles.

A good fit is just as important as choosing the right material. Browse our full range of horse rugs, or read our Horse Rug Fitting & Care Guide for practical advice on sizing, fitting and rug care.
